How to Stack Coupons Without Breaking the Rules
Coupon stacking can double your savings, if you know which discounts combine and which cancel each other out.

On this page
"Stacking" means combining more than one discount on the same order. Done right, it can turn a decent deal into a great one. Done wrong, your code simply gets rejected at checkout.
The four layers of savings
Think of every order as having up to four layers:
- The sale price: discounts the store has already applied.
- A promo code: usually one per order.
- Loyalty rewards: points, store cash or member pricing.
- Payment rewards: cashback, card offers or rewards points.
Most stores let you combine one item from each layer. The common mistake is trying to use two items from the same layer, like two promo codes.
What can usually be stacked
- A promo code on top of sale prices, unless the terms say "full-price items only".
- A promo code plus a free-shipping threshold.
- Store rewards (like Kohl's Cash or loyalty points) plus a promo code.
- Card-linked offers and cashback on top of everything else.
What usually cannot
- Two promo codes in the same checkout.
- New-customer codes on a returning account.
- Codes on gift cards, and often on pre-orders.
- Percentage codes on items marked "final sale" or "excluded brands".
Always read the terms on the coupon. Minimum spend, exclusions and expiry dates decide whether a code works.
A quick routine before you pay
Add everything to your cart first. Then try the code with the highest value, and compare the total with and without it. If the store is running a sitewide sale, check whether the code beats the sale or only applies on top of it.
Where to find codes that actually work
Check the store's own email sign-up offer, its app, and hand-picked offer lists like the ones on our store pages, where every offer shows its terms and expiry date.
